It was a cold gray day warmed by the wonderful company of the indomitable @aaronberjohn. Thanks for such a fun shoot and being so patient as I tried to figure out how to work the camera and then waiting almost a year.

Aaron is a dear old friend and an excellent human being but it's still intimidating shooting a professional actor, I mostly just shoot landscape.

Test scans with an improvised tripod + mirrorless camera + non-macro lens is still significantly better and faster (after all the initial faffing) than the flatbed scanner. I'm excited to get the rest of the kit sorted. Photos from my first test roll on the Rolleiflex.

My Ricoh camera was a very good tool for #streetphotography : very quiet and with a good focus system using distance mark and not stepped symbols like... the #Pentax17 😊.
This #analogphotography was taken in the city of St Helier in the King Street, an important pedestrianised shopping street.

Breathtaking ||
This is why we loved the isle of #Jersey : landscapes are amazing and beautiful with the rock that directly meet the see.

First Pause ||
We stopped at Bouley Bay an go as far you can on the breakwater. I took a #analogphotography of the Water's Edge #hotel.
Sadly, this hotel is now abandoned and was bought to be demolished.

This year we decided to return on the isle of #Jersey for the second time. April is a good period because there is less tourists than during the summer.

In December, I was in New York and went on a pilgrimage to the B&H Photo Video store and it was... AWESOME!

I got to meet a lot of nice people and they were generous and excited to have their portraits taken. It was a wonderful afternoon, I picked up a bunch of film, got to check out printer paper in person, and geeked out about my 1935 Rolleiflex. 100% would recommend!

Black and white photo of a square divided into triangles and the edges each then split off into other triangles. A reflection is visible in the right and bottom central triangles cluing-in the viewer into it being a glass window (it's a glass ceiling actually).

First roll with the Olympus 35 RC, a truly pocket-able full manual control range finder, and Kentmere 400 was a pretty good experience. I leaned towards the darker scenes to see how well the 2.8 lens and the 400 ISO combo works, and it's serviceable.
My brain is calibrated to ISO 100 from years of landscape tripod photography so trading stops of light is kind of a fun game.

After getting the mirror replaced [1] and with all the wind in my sails, I shot another roll with the LM for #FP4Party. The viewing lens focus was tack sharp, whatever broke the mirror also caused misalignment between the taking and viewing lenses 😭. Please share any repair guides/suggestions.

I was pretty excited about some of the shots, pretend they're not blurry, ok?
