GMs, how often have you had to invent something completely new, right from the start of the session, because the players focused in on a detail you had thought trivial, turning it into a veritable Maltese Falcon?

It's one thing to make it up on the spot as an approach, but when I've got something ready that I'm proud of, it can be hard to let the players take the lead. Still, each such moment keeps TTRPGs from the clutches of Cyberdyne, excuse me, I mean #Hasbro.
