Arthur Hildersham, Puritan minister writes on Psalm 51. A heart made like God’s will be charitable. He quotes Proverbs 11:24 to warn that “withholding more than meet” will tend to poverty, that being miserable to the poor will bring a curse on yourself.

Sometimes today, it seems that being miserable to the poor is an intentional policy to make them go to the next town, country, street.

How can you be kind to the poor?

"[Some unchartiable persons say] I have children to provide for. I answer, thy children shall not be the poorer for this, if God bee to be beleeved; but on the contrary thy miserable-nesse to the poore, is the way to bring Gods curse upon thy selfe, and thy children too. Pro 11.24. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth, and there is that withholdeth more then is meet, but it tendeth to povertie."

The graveyard is the wealthiest place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.
