Watched “Int. Chinatown” second time and Ben Sinclair, of High Maintenance, as director on ep. 2.
Taika Waititi showrunning, so not a surprise, this quality. Hit right in the heart.
All the subtle Wong-Kar-Wai references sprinkled here and there too.
Up there with “The Curse” and final “How to with John Wilson” as far as TV goes for 2024 for me. Strange, self-referencing, surreal mainstream TV is where it’s at.

Okay so this year has been very good in terms of TV series in general, but Interior Chinatown is capping it off at a high note. This is so fun!
I had a hard time getting into #InteriorChinatown initially, because I didn't understand what the show was. I'm glad I stuck with it, because it became clearer after a few episodes. Ultimately I think it might be one of the best shows of the year, even though it's maybe two episodes too long.
#InteriorChinatown is such a wild ride. One of the smartest stories I’ve seen in awhile.

I just finished watching the final two episodes and I have a big, satisfied grin stuck on my face and my heart grew a few sizes.
I got hints of Truman Show and The Player the last four episodes, and there's so much in this series that I need to rewatch it, a few times, probably.
I mean, the chyrons must mean something, right?
#InteriorChinatown, a contender for best #tv show of the year, and belongs among the all-time greats.
A bit of hopefulness in these dangerous times.
