#InternationalDayForBiologicalDiversity

It’s said Diversity means acknowledging the existence of others whose values are totally perfectly definitively incompatible with my own.
MAGA, the ruling party in Japan, and even poisonous mushrooms. Dude. Seriously?

#TopicOfTheDay: Biological diversity resources are the pillars upon which we build civilizations. Fish provide 20 per cent of animal protein to about 3 billion people. Over 80 per cent of the human diet is provided by plants.

#InternationalDayForBiologicalDiversity is a call to action to encourage governments, and individuals to highlight the ways in which they are supporting the implementation of the Biodiversity Plan.

We celebrated #InternationalDayforBiologicalDiversity by asking curators & collections managers the worst possible question you can ask a scientist: “What’s your favorite species?” See the resulting trilogy at bit.ly/3Qa9dUP

It´s #InternationalDayForBiologicalDiversity! 🌱🐞🐌

Citizens play an important role in boosting biodiversity research. By posting their species´photos on @inaturalist, researchers @idiv could train computer vision systems for identification.

Today, 22nd May, , is . It's high time we notice we're, contrary to religious views, no special species of animals. We're a little more resilient to changes of environment around us thanks to our civilization's development. It doesn't mean we can't extinct ourselves out of this planet. Our planet would be perfectly fine without us.
