/me looks at 70mm 15 perforation IMAX screenings of Interstellar, because even though it's not a great movie, chances to see IMAX film projections are increasingly rare. Today's showings at the AMC Metreon in San Francisco [the second largest IMAX screen in the USA and increasingly my least liked theater viewing experience in the entire bay area] are basically all sold out except for the handicap seats.

/me looks at screenings tomorrow, which apparently got added and WHAT THE Leiji Matsumoto + Daft Punk's インターステラ5555 (Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem) is screening tomorrow! WHOA!

That was not on my radar, though I definitely missed the 4K restoration screening in Los Angeles on September 30th earlier this year. Presumably tomorrow's screening is from that remaster? Several screenings, two of which are already almost full and the other two seem to be filling up fast. wtff

Apparently it is only screening tomorrow, December 12th, 2024. (at least that is what the poster says, but the website has other ideas)
