I fear my phone is dying and this time looking for a #privacy respecting #Degoogled phone with a custom ROM
pre-installed.

I stumbled on this #BraxPhone with #iodeOS I haven't heard much about this ROM for a while. I wonder why they went this route.

It seems repairable and guaranteed updates for many years.

Any thoughts?

Custom Rom und Krankenkassen App

Sehr schön, nach einem Update der #microG Dienste auf meinem #CustomRom Handy funktioniert auch meine Krankenkassen App wieder. Die Frage bleibt, warum die #Krankenkassen nicht in der Lage sind, ihre Apps auf der eigenen Webseite anzubieten, bzw. warum sie keinen eigenen App-Store haben, sondern auf US-Dienstleister zurückgreifen. Das gleich gilt natürlich für die Apps der diversen Banken usw.

Ich glaube, so weit ist #wero noch nicht. Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, ist aber auch das ein Ziel.

Was mich aktuell eher stört. Als Android-User bin ich auf den Play Store angewiesen (Unabhängigkeit von US Konzernen?).
Außerdem werden Custom-ROMs offiziell nicht supported:

PS: Ich hab es gerade von ein IodeOS Software defekt zur Reparatur eingeschickt (der Installer hat keine Handy-Model Überprüfung). Kann ein Monat dauern, bis ich Fotos nach liefern kann.

PSS: Geld ist Verhandlung, ich spiele gerne eine Software der Wahl drauf (z.B. #CalyxOS, #IodeOS oder #e ) - ansonsten wird es mit Original Software von #Fairphone gerade Beispiel.

@halbwach fand die ersten beiden #iodeos updates auch sehr spannend. Inzw. haben es aber vier Handys anstandslos erledigt.

@openmobile graphene has had leadership issues, I agree. I believe that the person in question has stepped back from leadership. Regardless, it was more down to hardware for me (I was strongly considering getting a pixel 9a also), but I was leaning towards fairphone and graphene doesn't support it so that was out. /e/ while their implementation is admirable it was too iOS-like in it's look. #iodeos is french so as I am Irish I could #buyEU but in #foss it shouldn't matter and #calyxos is a (...)

Ça m'énerve !!! Hier sur #franceinter dans #letelephonesonne ça parlait de ce que pourraient faire la France et l'Europe pour contrer les droits de douane. Un moment sont évoqués les #gafam . Question vite évacuée : "On n'a pas d’alternative".
Mais si bordel on en a plein des alternatives : les distributions #linux et #bsd et plein d'autres pour remplacer Windows et Mac, #lineageos , #iodeOS , #murena , #sailfish pour remplacer android, et tous pleins de #logicielslibres pour le reste !!

Didn't try any of these apps. However, I've been using Fairphones for years now. Up to FP 3 it required some dedication, but since FP 4 (writing this on one), they work nicely as daily driver. I use and can recommend #iodeos; #calyxos is also worth a look, I think.

Ich habs jetzt raus, was das Problem ist!
#IodeOs hat mit Version 6 einfach mal TB als Standard Emailclient eingeführt und zwingt somit allen die Updates auf, auch wenn der gar nicht genutzt wird.

Ich hoffe, dass es jetzt reicht "Alle Updates Ignorieren" enen Haken verpasst zu haben.

Das nächste OS wird definitiv ***nicht*** iodeOS.
