An old window in an abandoned old house. The frame is made of solid stone, only the beam above is made of weathered wood and surrounded by irregularly hewn fieldstones. The window has no glass or shutters, but five vertical rusty-brown, simply decorated metal struts run from top to bottom. The front of the house is lit by the sun. The interior of the house behind the window is untidy and loosely filled with junk. There is no longer a roof, so you can see a corner of the blue sky through the window. Ein altes Fenster in einem verlassenen alten Haus. Der Rahmen ist aus massiven Steinen gemauert, nur der Balken oberhalb ist aus verwitterten Holz und umgeben von unregelmäßig gehauenen Feldsteinen. Das Fenster hat kein Glas und keine Fensterläden, aber von oben nach unten verlaufen fünf senkrechte rostig-braune, einfach verzierte Metallstreben. Die Hausfront ist von der Sonne beschienen. Der Innenraum des Hauses hinter dem Fenster ist unaufgeräumt und löse mit Gerümpel gefüllt. Ein Dach gibt es nicht mehr, sodass man durch das Fenster hindurch eine Ecke des blauen Himmels sehen kann.

The window is located in an old, whitewashed stone wall in a covered arcade as part of the monastery garden. To the left of the window, an old black lantern hangs on the wall and a small section of the door next to it can be seen. Above it is part of the wooden roof construction of the corridor. The window is almost completely in the shade, while the table and chairs are in partial shade and partly in the sun. Ein kleiner runder schwarzer Metalltisch steht zwischen zwei traditionellen Holzstühlen mit einer geflochtenen Sitzfläche unter einem hellen Holzfenster. Das Fenster befindet sich in einer alten, geweißten Steinwand in einem überdachten Arkadengang als Teil des Klostergartens. Links neben dem Fenster hängt eine alte schwarze Laterne an der Wand, und ein kleines Stück der daneben liegenden Tür ist zu sehen. Oberhalb ist ein Teil der hölzernen Dachkonstruktion des Ganges. Das Fenster befindet sich fast vollständig im Schatten, während der Tisch und die Stühle im Halbschatten und z.T. in der Sonne stehen.

Clouds over the #IonianSea
This was the only time we saw real #clouds during our time in #Greece. They were #storm clouds, with lightning, thunder and heavy rain in tow, which poured down from the sea over the mountains of our island. #Lightning strikes meant that we had to replace the router, a kettle, a toaster and a telephone, because the main fuse didn't pop out quickly enough.

Die kleine runde hellgrün-gelbe Eichel guckt mit dem oberen Drittel aus der gold-gelben Schale heraus. Die Schale ist rund und sieht wie ein gemütlicher kleiner Korb aus, der mit vielen kleinen abgerundeten Spitzen bewachsen ist. Darum herum und im Hintergrund befinden sich verschwommen größere und kleinere graugrüne pieksige Eichenblätter. The upper third of the small, round, light green-yellow acorn peeks out of the golden-yellow shell. The bowl is round and looks like a cosy little basket covered with many small rounded tips. Around it and in the background are blurred larger and smaller grey-green prickly oak leaves.

Ein Fenster aus dunkelbraunen Metallgittern ohne Scheiben. Beide Gitter sind nach innen aufgeklappt. Innen ist eine helle Wand zu sehen und an dieser helles Sonnenlicht von oben, das durch das nicht vorhandene Dach zu kommen scheint. Das Gitter auf der linken Seite hat sich im oberen Bereich vom Rahmen gelöst und hängt dort lose. Der Fensterrahmen aus dunklem Holz befindet sich in einer Mauer aus warmem Stein, der indirekt von der Sonne angeleuchtet wird. A window made of dark brown metal grilles without panes.
