My next jigsaw puzzle is a 1,000-piece collage of cereal boxes, all from General Mills. The puzzle is from White Mountain Puzzles and the pieces are a little larger than normal.

Today I finished the sorting.

I sorted mainly by colour but while doing that I picked out the frame, blue book spines, some animal patterns and the rainbow on top. I have lots of miscellaneous pieces left on seven grey trays and am missing one piece from the frame.

Day nine of this #jigsawpuzzle I filled in more #jigsaw pieces in the left sky. Looks like less than ten today ho hum.
I'm filling in in a methodical way finding pieces by trial and error. The position of the next piece to find could be determined like this.
1. Go to the top left corner.
2. Go right along the top edge until the border of the solved area is passed.
3. Go down until the solved area is reached.
4. The position to fill is the one that will extend the solved area upwards.
In other words, upward filling in columns from the left.

My next jigsaw puzzle is a 500-piece picture of cupcakes by Greenbrier. The pieces are thin and old classic shapes, either squarish or long, and they alternate, so you can tell which way they are oriented.

Took advantage of some decent light this morning to finish off a recently-bought jigsaw of Spider-Man and it was delightfully and fiendishly difficult.

A completed jigsaw puzzle showing several dozen comic book images of Spider-Man by different artists all attended as if in some web-like shattered glass mosaic. A large amount of the individual photos focus on the head of Spider-Man so there are lots of similar shots of the familiar red suit mask with large white eyes making for a very confusing and complicated overall puzzle image.
