So, I’ll do a little bodging on one of the previous boards to confirm that this design is at least somewhat sane and then I’ll send it off to #jlcpcb to get it made up.

I've got NFI what #JLCPCB did to the ENIG on these boards but solder just won't stick to them 😭 . The GC10 put down with the stencil just balls up around the components and you can pull them off the board. Using a soldering iron with my regular solder and plenty of flux also just balls up around the tip and won't stick.

Anyone by change needing a #pcb from #JLCPCB with either C3322939 (2x10 Pin socket P=2.54mm)) or C598603 (2x10 Pin Header P=2.54mm)?

JLCPCB didn't have these (nor similar) Parts in stock, Because of MOQ I'll end up with some spare parts::

It's my first time ordering from JLCPCB but if I understood their terms correctly then they won't offer to ship these parts to me, but only keep them in a dedicated inventory for me for future PCBA orders

This was a fast one. Last night I designed a small 2 layer #GPIO stacking header board for the #RaspberryPi that will be used in my #NeXTcube mini to provide a power and activity LED. It's in production at #JLCPCB already.

I've ordered way too many components from #lcsc and #mouser for a frew projects. I also unlocked an achievement:

First full component reel ordered (just some resistors)

But now, I'll have to play the waiting game: 2-3 weeks, but that's how it works. Let's just hope that the order from LCSC doesn't arrive in Germany, but rather any other EU country. PCBs from #JLCPCB are also on their way (soon, after thy will be produced)

New PCBs from #jlcpcb . First time doing hot plate soldering, only had to fix one solder bridge! so much easier than using an iron on these 0.5mm pin pitch parts.

Of course it doesn't work 😄 I got the connector pins backwards... Luckily they make a reversed connector so these boards don't go into trash, just have to wait for new parts!

made a new release of my JLCPCB Altium libraries.

this new release contains 55451 resistors, 15361 capacitors, 5047 inductors, and a brand new addition: 2384 ferrite beads.

I also fixed an issue where inductors had their category labelled incorrectly and their inductance erroneously listed in the capacitance field.

Vater hat mir seine alte ALDI Wildkamera gegeben, die ich fit machen sollte. Da waren die Batterien ausgelaufen. Leider ist das Zeug auf die Platine gekommen. SD-Karte wurde immer schreibgeschützt erkannt, weil der Schalter, der das detektiert, korrodiert war. Hab das Ding einfach fest gelötet, sodass alle Karten schreibbar sind.
Nächstes Problem: Die Buttons funktionieren nicht mehr bzw. höchstens mal einer. Problem: Die Leiterbahnen auf der Flex-PCB waren teilweise zerfressen. Ich hatte leider keinen Leitlackstift da, also wollte ich es erst mal mit dem Lötkolb...verdammt, das Trägermaterial hält keine Hitze aus 😅
Also #KiCAD angeworfen und eine eigene Flex-PCB erstellt und bei #jlcpcb (zusammen mit bisschen anderen Kram aus meiner Pipeline) produzieren lassen. Passt und funktioniert wirklich ausgezeichnet 🤩

Glad I'd left plenty of space around the #RP2350A on my latest #JLCPCB #PCBA order as they'd been a bit tight with the solder and I had to run an iron down one side to get it working 🤦 .

Three hours, 23 PCBs and 161 leds. I’m done in.

For development at @bitcraze we normally use the STLink and an adapter for our specific SWD pinout used on the #Crazyflie (and our other boards). It works well, but it would be neater with an "all-in-one" solution. So here it is, the Bugslayer mini! It features the #RP2040 and it's made in @kicad. Eagerly awaiting the #JLCPCB delivery!
