The floor is yours @thisven ! I really like the angle of the talk, fits the conference very well. Architectural challenges when doing open source projects from an academic point of view. Great subject and well presented. Hats off sir!

@markus #Jacktrip is awesome. It has the best latency and overall sound quality but is very hard to set up. Last time I tried I didn't get it to work and gave up on it. I use #Jamulus for spontaneous online jams mostly and it is perfect for that because you get a server list. It feels like the good old online multiplayer co-op gaming experience :) I can imagine Jacktrip could shine in a professional hybrid/online concert situation or other artsy projects. There is another alternative, which isn't in development currently because the developer sadly passed away: HPSJam ( https://github.com/hselasky/hpsjam ) It can send MIDI as well!
JackTrip, anyone?

Many thanks to @trummerschlunk for establishing the #OpenSource track in the #conference program of #tmt32 and thanks to Jörn Nettingsmeier for inviting me to the roundtable "Solving problems with open source" for talking about #JackTrip as #OnlineMusicCollaboration and #NetworkedMusicPerformances solution. :fsf:
@Herr_Irrtum it's an audio interface connected to the #RaspberryPi (behind the touchscreen).
It's part of a #jacktrip based audio-over-network setup we use in the context of the Electronic Orchestra Charlottenburg (https://eo-charlottenburg.de), which helps us to deal with audio spatialization and providing clocking to the musicians.
