I take back what I said about quality writing. If the cyberman plan was to explode a bomb and screw up the earth, what were they waiting for?

The Doctor asks Adric why a bomb? Why underground? What was the reason? Excellent questions that I’m damn certain they don’t bother to explain.

Pay no attention to the continuity errors like spanners left on bombs.

A lot of extras for the start of this adventure. None of the regular cast had to go out to the quarry, which they probably didn’t mind.

Adric’s room is full of stuff from previous adventures. They rarely show other rooms in the Tardis in other eras.

What to say about it. It’s a mess. But it’s an enjoyable mess. I normally like to tag the Doctor and his companions, but if I did that I’d use my character limit on tags. So many characters are crammed into this.

So I’ll just use the regular crew for this one.

I do think it would have been a more interesting counter point to the original Silurians episode is if this story was the one where the Doctor was able to negotiate peace with the Silurians. As it is we just get a repeat of the same story, but with very little actual dialogue between the Silurians and the Doctor.

Maybe the 11th Doctor will have better luck.

Been rewatching Mawdryn Undead. I had forgotten that it was Turlough’s first story. Has there ever been another companion who started out as an assassin trying to kill the Doctor.

I like this episode, even though I don’t like the Black Guardian or Mawdryn, but I love that it’s actually a time travel story, particularly the (retired) Brigadier’s story.

Peter Davison, instead of using his index finger to point to his forehead, extends and uses his middle finger. Tegan is looking up at him. The Doctor smiles at the highwayman while talking to Tegan.

It's so unrealistic that Tegan kept her stewardess uniform on the whole time. It's uncomfortable and it needs to be washed regularly. And no sane woman would run around in kitten heels if she didn't have to. So silly. #DoctorWho #JanetFielding
