I dislike this feeling of weary anticipation. You've just finished watching an amazing drama, in this case #QueenOfTears, and now you wait for the next special thing. You're not content with picking up anything that stirs only a mild interest. So you delve back into favourites which you know will nurture your kdrama soul without breaking your heartπ

I am old school despite streaming: dvds and cds abound in the house and #FatedToLoveYou is the first #kdrama that I bought. LOVE #JangHyuk and #JangNaRa separately and together in their 4 projects. In FTLY, I think they make a very predictable drama roll along. Sometimes silly, cute, sad etc...and sometimes MLs hair and laugh take on a life of their own but viewing is not a bad way to spend time doing nothing π

With a 9.5 on Viki & 8.1 on MDL, it should have been on the radar before now!
It's a wonderful, rich chaebol meets a timid, lower class girl romCOM with no murders. It deals with a tragic type of loss in a beautiful way, even though it has slapstick & silly humor and a sweet romance. It handles overlapping love triangles very well. The rich chaebol with a maniacal laugh & the timid girl are shown to have reasons for their behavior. Even the noble idiocy rang true in this one.
Animations & crazy sound effects are fabulous. Acting was 10 yrs ago over the top style, but fits the drama really well. All the characters were acted well. The music was so fun. There is a sweet side story that's contrived but still works. A very enjoyable watch! I will look for more of the leads' work.

Day 17: Favourite actor
Of 2023 dramas, I am giving a huge thumbs up to #JungKyungHo in #CrashCourseInRomance. In the drama he was an asshat, a bumbling idiot, a know-it-all, a romantic sap and a knight in shining armour. π
Overall and in order, faves are:
#JangHyuk who I have yet to see in 2023s #FamilyTheUnbreakableBond but I would watch him watching paint dry.
#ParkHaeJin. 2023's #KillingVote was not his best work but I am shallow and he is pretty to look at. π

2009 and like soooo many it was #BoysOverFlowers and next up was #SlaveHunters. Started my fascination with #LeeMinHo and #JangHyuk respectively.
Finally watched #Voice1
Anything with #JangHyuk is good! It was more compelling than #Voice4 but was missing a good spooky song. Overall a good #kDrama #thriller .

I finished #BloodyHeart yesterday (shortly before midnight). It is a really beautiful #kDrama to watch. However, if you do not like politics in your #sageuk dramas then this would be one to skip. It is entirely politics.
#JangHyuk is great in it! as #LeeJoon and #KangHaNa also play beautifully together.
If I do have one gripe it is that there was not enough #LeeTaeRi. You can't just show him to me and then make me pray for another glimpse. It's not fair :p

I'm eager to see his new movie, THE KILLER, but I don't think it's streaming yet.
My intro to Kdrama was MY MISTER, which is still my favorite set in modern times. (I generally like the historicals better.)
