A psychological thriller with minimal violence. A criminal interferes in the early lives of the leads. As adults, one a detective, & the other an internationally famous criminal profiler, they are both interested in the criminal. As they discover the relationship between the other & the criminal, they realize they are being manipulated in a twisted game.

Both the screenwriter & main director have other highly-rated drama credits. But the cast! Not only excellent mains, but Kim Jae Young, Doh Kyung Soo & many other great actors create an immersive world. Questions of the end justifying the means, is "good" really good & is "evil" truly bad? Stories of brotherly love show up in several relationships. There is a bit of romance too. The directing & editing keep you wondering & guessing throughout. Very well done!

I dislike this feeling of weary anticipation. You've just finished watching an amazing drama, in this case #QueenOfTears, and now you wait for the next special thing. You're not content with picking up anything that stirs only a mild interest. So you delve back into favourites which you know will nurture your kdrama soul without breaking your heart😂

I may start rewatching 2014s#FatedToLoveYou (aka You Are My Destiny) with #JangHyuk and #JangNaRa. Also starring #ChoiWooShik and #NaYoungHee who played Hae In's mother on QOT,

Watching #AKillerParadox rewatch. These 8 episodes go fast and pack a lot in. I don’t love it but it’s very interesting.

#MyHappyEnding is excellent suspense. Keeps you guessing. #JangNaRa is a great actor. 2 final episodes this weekend.

#MyLiberationNotes made it to the top of my list. Excellent drama about 3 adult siblings trying to find their own version of independence.

I'm trying not to focus too much on romance at the moment but I'm SO impressed with #JangNaRa in #MyHappyEnding. I have to wait until the weekend for the last 2 episodes. It's more suspense/revenge drama although it's more reverse revenge since FL's life has been totally messed up. She's the focus of nearly every scene.

I am old school despite streaming: dvds and cds abound in the house and #FatedToLoveYou is the first #kdrama that I bought. LOVE #JangHyuk and #JangNaRa separately and together in their 4 projects. In FTLY, I think they make a very predictable drama roll along. Sometimes silly, cute, sad etc...and sometimes MLs hair and laugh take on a life of their own but viewing is not a bad way to spend time doing nothing 😉

Fated to Love You

With a 9.5 on Viki & 8.1 on MDL, it should have been on the radar before now!

It's a wonderful, rich chaebol meets a timid, lower class girl romCOM with no murders. It deals with a tragic type of loss in a beautiful way, even though it has slapstick & silly humor and a sweet romance. It handles overlapping love triangles very well. The rich chaebol with a maniacal laugh & the timid girl are shown to have reasons for their behavior. Even the noble idiocy rang true in this one.

Animations & crazy sound effects are fabulous. Acting was 10 yrs ago over the top style, but fits the drama really well. All the characters were acted well. The music was so fun. There is a sweet side story that's contrived but still works. A very enjoyable watch! I will look for more of the leads' work.

My first thought after seeing #장나라 #JangNaRa running in S01E01 of #나의해피엔드 #MyHappyEnding was she's a Captain of a 25th Century starship stranded in 2023 while wearing her Odyssey uniform.

The scene was in the evening. ^_~

Hmm… you know, I think Jang Na-Ra can appear as a Federation starship captain. The Asian (Korean) “Janeway”. And yep, her ship's uniform is the Odyssey.

Was going to watch "School 2017" for its leads. I liked them in other dramas, but there was a "School 2013" & thought maybe I should watch that first. I was so surprised to see so many familiar faces! It's interesting to read what they are up to now.

Lee Jong Suk & Kim Woo Bin are the leads with a great bromance. There is no romance in this series, but if you are interested in the Korean school system or are a teacher, you will probably empathize with the plights of the students, teachers, & administrators.

It was not a binge, & the pacing felt rushed at the end, but I liked the stories. For a 10 yr old show, it still held up fairly well. I shed a few tears, and felt frustration at the rules and the awful situations some kids ended up in.
