A memo with the subject line “Guidance on Presidential Memorandum Return to In-Person Work” sent from Charles Ezell, acting director at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and dated January 24, was authored by a “Peters, Noah,” according to the file’s metadata. Peters is an attorney who represented white nationalist Jared Taylor who sued Twitter in 2018 for banning him (and lost). In 2021, Peters wrote about Kyle Rittenhouse (who brought an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle to a Black Lives Matter protest and killed two people), saying Rittenhouse should be able to “reap some measure of restitution now that he’s been acquitted” from the journalists who covered his case.

From the article:

Hatewatch has identified a previously pseudonymous author and ideologue whose writings in the 2000s and early 2010s heavily influenced the “manosphere,” a loose network of blogs, forums, websites and influencers who support rolling back women’s rights, reject feminism and advocate for rigid gender roles.

Christopher Moore, 60, is a former academic who has written under the pen name “Francis Roger Devlin” or “F. Roger Devlin” since the early 2000s. He is the author of the highly influential 2006 essay “Sexual Utopia in Power” and a 2015 book by the same name. Both works argue that men are victimized by policies and other efforts to promote sexual and gender equality, which he argues have “made men less attractive to women” and “probably contributed significantly to the decline in Western birthrates.” White nationalists and more mainstream far-right figures have credited Moore’s work as Devlin with shaping the male supremacist movement, or “manosphere,” into what it is today.

“Everyone who has read Devlin seems to have started a blog or YouTube channel,” David Futrelle, a researcher on the radical right, wrote in 2013, referring to “Devlin’s” essays as a “Manospherian urtext.”

In case there's any real doubt as to whether the reactionary intelligentsia and their would-be stormtroopers actually talk to each other, this brand new photo couldn't really make the connection much clearer:

On the left is white nationalist impresario Jared Taylor (or, as I like to call him, Nazi Thurston Howell), who is responsible for one of the most prominent "intellectual" white nationalist websites in the US as well as a major annual conference.

On the right is Gregory Arthur Klaunberg* (aka Rainhart Gregory Arthurson**), a neo-Nazi who figures prominently in the article I posted last night.

Seems the two of them came together at Nick Fuentes' AFPAC, because duh.

Anyways, yeah, Nazis do read books. A lot. Their ideas are totally disconnected from reality, but that doesn't make them less interested in reading heady books and articles. On the contrary, I'd say it's actually part of the draw.

* Yes, that would actually be pronounced "clown-berg" in German. I have no idea how he pronounces it in English.

** You need to be extra suspicious of fashy assholes of any stripe who adopt the pseudonym "Rainhart" or similar. Former Identity Evropa leader Sean Casey, for one, used the pseudonym Reinhard Wolf when he was working as a "journalist." If you open Wikipedia and type in "Reinhard," the first person who comes up is Reinhard Heydrich, also known as "the Butcher of Prague." After Heinrich Himmler, Heydrich was really the next most important figure in the execution of "the final solution" under the Nazi regime. Sure, it's possible that either Klaunberg or Casey just like the name, or borrowed it from their great, great granddad, or something else. Possible, in theory, but unlikely, and plausible deniability is their whole deal. As I said, they do read books. History is not lost on them. They just interpret it in the cruelest ways imaginable.

Two white men standing outdoors at night in an urban setting. The man on the left is taller, wearing glasses, and has a mustache and a shiny bald head with white hair on the sides. he's wearing a tie and a blazer. With right hand, he is shaking the other man's hand, while his left hand is over the other man's shoulder.

The man on the right is shorter, has dark hair and a beard that covers well below his neck. He is also wearing a blazer and tie, and he has a large button on his lapel with the emblem of his neo-Nazi organization: the emblem is a stylized letter N in a circle.

Taylor Made to Split! Antifascists Diminish American Renaissance Founder’s Event at Arizona State University
Arizona has a lot of high-profile fascists, some of them running for office. That doesn't mean Arizona likes it - or wants more of them in their state.
