We lost two families due to an incident 5 years ago. The incident was dealt with, apologies were made, and we moved on. A vestry member dredged that up earlier this year, despite being told it had been handled. That has caused a whole new mess, was a factor in my search, and will most likely result in anywhere from 5-10 families leaving the parish.
Sometimes church people are the most difficult people in the world.
