My newest addition to JigGen, my Tabletop Simulator #jigsaw puzzle generator, is that I can now generate puzzles with a piece cut that is not simply a grid made of squares. I've been inspired by Cairo pentagonal tiling [0] and made that a built-in feature. I've also created jigsaws with other wacky cuts by designing the cut in #Inkscape manually.

I've been working really fervently on a new project. I like #jigsaw puzzles, and I frequently played them in #TabletopSimulator, but I eventually became disillusioned with it because it 1) only allows up to 320 pieces, 2) only allows images with a specific aspect ratio, and 3) has pieces that all look identical. I eventually decided to sit down and solve this by writing my own system that will generate a Tabletop Simulator savegame and a whole bunch of 3D models. Now 1) you're not limited in piece count except by the capability of your hardware; 2) you can use any image of any aspect ratio; and 3) all the pieces are different.
