Today is poker night on the @yogscast #JingleJam, the December charity fundraiser event. It starts in about an hour. One of the streams I'm always looking forward to 🙂
My current favorite card game is Aces and Adventures. Star Realms is now on hiatus until I get tired of this.

A&A is a card battler, not quite a deckbuilding game unless you consider getting abilities and traits 'building a deck'. You've got the default playing cards, and abilities which differ per class. Poker rules apply if you decide to do a standard attack or defense.
Depending on the class, abilities might be a major or minor factor in gameplay. The Warrior, for example, relies more on equipment to improve his standard attacks. The Rogue is somewhere in between. The Mage is a whole different beast, you generally want to mostly rely on the abilities, and almost never do a standard attack.
I've finished the 'Spring' storyline with the Warrior and the Rogue. Currently doing that with the Mage and it's a blast (maybe literally so with those fireballs). There are two more classes to go after this, and then I'll move on towards the next season storyline when I've leveled up all classes a bit. The levelups give those classes some permanent advantages, like starting with +1 more health every game, or having more cards you can mulligan. All small details that add up nicely.
There are different play modes possible. In this case I'm doing the default 'RPG' one with the seasonal storylines and just doing each 'chapter' one by one with a tough end boss at every end. But there is also a mode where you can traverse along a spiral-shaped map, choosing your paths like Slay the Spire, and trying to get to the end. And I recently unlocked the Daily Challenges after I finished the Spring storyline, I have yet to try that.
This game is about perfect. I just wish that the main menu was not some silly 3D thing, and that the game would load faster at the start and have less animations between screen transitions. But other than that.. just about perfect.

I've grabbed the Jingle Jam 2023 at Tiltify and that's quite a lot of games I've activated. 😄 I'm now trying out a bunch of games that drew my interest.
So far, Aces and Adventures is a decent RPG strategy card game. And Growbot is a cute point & click game, and I'm pleased that it has audio accessibility so I'm not stuck with this sound puzzle.
