Today's is about change.
Sometimes it's beautiful. Sometimes it's awkward. But no matter who you are, change is a constant part of life.

How do you handle change? How do you present a storyline that allows a character to incorporate change into his/her/their life/ character arc?

This week, think or about changes that have had a major effect.

Today's is about patriotism. How do you define it?

I made a quick video of yesterday's event on Word.Nerd.Gabi.Lorino on YouTube. Just here in our little towns south of Charlotte, there are plenty of people motivated to come out and talk about what's important to them.

Thanks for sharing all of your pictures and videos too!

For this week's make a list of what you can do to resist the things you dislike, and then do those things.
I made this sign years ago when things were comparatively better, and it's an oldie but a goodie. On the opposite side, I have "Believe," because it's not enough to resist... you also have to imagine and believe in a better future.

A colorful sign is featured that includes the word RESIST on it.

This summer I'm researching old questions. Starting with learning more about 2 great-grandfathers, so I can learn more about my Italian family tree.

I also reconnected with old classmates to get a 40-year-old question answered about a prank gone wrong in junior high.

What are you curious about? What could you ask someone about or research among some archives to learn more about? This week, think or write about a questions you'd like to find the answer to.

Who remembers "free skate" or "all skate" at the roller rink?

Everyone was invited to skate. Unlike the couples skate, for example.

That phrase popped into my head today. Not sure where it came from, but it's a good way to sum up how me and my generation understood inclusivity at an early age. Everyone skates. All are welcome.

This week, think or write about experiences that are open to everyone, or nearly everyone.

Have a great week!

Here we are again for another and maybe you're aware of this: it's Mercury Retrograde season!
It's a time to slow down and re-do, reconsider, reconstruct the things in your life that maybe aren't working to their full potential.

Today or this week. think or write about the do-overs you'd like to have, the things you need to review or reconsider, or maybe revisit an old friend or an old book.

A box with the words "Repair, Review, Release, Reconsider" is shown.

Today I took a walking meditation in a nearby park. It's a beautiful spot, away from traffic, and walking there allows my mind to wander and for me to come up with ideas and solutions to current problems. Maybe I'll think about a person or situation that needs a little extra love or attention.

On your next day off, consider a walking meditation. And then maybe think or write about the thoughts that pop up.

A park with a walking path, along with a blue sky and green grass and trees, are pictured.
