Hi, dear people on #WIndows, can you check form me if on #ThonnyIDE you can do !jupyter lab on the interactive console down on Thonny's window? It works on Linux! (you have to have #JupyterLab installed)

I can check this tomorrow but I was surprised... (I was trying %run a few months ago and it didn't work) now I hope I can try #py5's live coding feature launching it from Thonny like this also...

Sind das Daten, die wirklich in ein Spreadsheet gehören oder wäre das vielleicht sowieso eher ein Fall für eine Datenbank?

(Hab schon häufiger beobachtet, daß Excel als Datenbank "mißbraucht" wird, muss bei Dir nicht so sein)

Alternative wenn es wirklich auf die Zahlen-Auswertung und "Zahlenfresserei" ankommt:

How do the jupyter people manage to wrap an IDE around an IDE, and now put an IDE around it?
(I just found out about jupyterlab-desktop.)
To me it seems like an unhealthy attempt to avoid doing things similar to any other IDE.

If I had the time and energy I would:

• Make a #ThonnyIDE plug-in to launch #JupyterLab from the Thonny GUI interface (using Thonny's #Python #virtualenv;
• Write some code to convert #geoDataFrames with a graphic attributes column into #py5 styled shapes;
• Make a search interface to my daily sketch-a-day sketches and fix the RSS.

@alerque You have got me really interested. I'll definitely check it out. I love the fact that it ships #Lua, it's my favorite programming language, it's such a pleasure to work with. One question though, is there any way to import a CSV dataset into SILE? I know that it's not something you would do with TeX (or maybe you can, I don't know), but it would really help working with computational environments such as #JupyterLab.

Avui a la feina he estat manegant per substituir el que hauria estat un notebook #iPyhon (o #JupyterLab) per un document en #orgmode (d'#emacs, esclar).

Moltes de les comparatives que hi ha pels internets fan moltes històries. Jo no en demano cap cosa gaire complexa: combinar text, LaTeX i blocs de codi, normalment scripts poc òptims per acabar fent gràfiques, i poder-ho organitzar tot una mica bé.

Amb aquests requisits, org-mode serveix perfectament, com també em serviria un notebook de #jupyter.

Com a avantatge, funciona amb les dreceres de teclat habituals de la meva configuració. En el jupyter, tot i que hi ha un complement per emular vim, no acaba de funcionar igual.

Com a desavantatge, quan un bloc de codi falla no sempre ho fa mostrant l'error, mentre que al notebook si. És un inconvenient menor que resolc amb una comanda extra, tangle, després de la qual tinc tot l'entorn de debug que podria voler, però bueno, per dir alguna cosa dolenta.
