If you are using #k9mail and suffer from endless "Warning: Could not send mails,
Max. Retries exceeded" (or the german equivalent)
it might help to move your mails from "Outgoing" or "Postausgang" to "Drafts" or "Entwürfe" and send them again.
This is a bug at least in version 10.0 but I found this work-around in Internet for versions 9.x !
Of course there might be other reasons for these messages, i. e. wrong smtp server address/password or smtp server down. But in my case this worked.
I killed #k9mail , delete the cache but to no avail. I think that the outgoing mail has a certain state which is stored as meta-data for the mail itself. This assumption is based on an excerpt from the source code found during my investigations.

Being a fan of #K9Mail for so long, being able to finally use #Thunderbird on all my machines including #Android devices is awesome! 🤓
Bin gerade sooo zufrieden. #Dovecot ist auf #FreeBSD nun so konfiguriert, dass ich weiterhin #mutt und #procmail wie gewohnt nutzen kann und parallel dazu, ohne Konflikte, #IMAP Clients wie #K9Mail und #Thunderbird.
Nicht, dass ich mit #mutt unzufrieden wäre: Aber gerade am Smartphone ist #K9Mail schon praktischer als mit #connectbot via ssh #mutt zu bedienen.
Und manche Emails sind - leider - mit Thunderbird besser zu handhaben, z.B. solche mit Bestätigungs-URLs mit > 512 Zeichen.

One of the first apps I installed on my first Android phone, an HTC something running Android 2.2, was @k9mail . The app has been on every phone of mine since and pulling all/most of my email accounts together.

I already replaced #GoogleCalendar with #Fossify Calendar a while ago. And for email I've used #k9mail since I bought the phone. For maps I use #OrganicMaps, but I still need to have #GoogleMaps installed since where I live there's no good #OpenStreetMap coverage.
Just a happy plug for the new #thunderbirdmobile app based on k9 mail.
Lovely app. Seamless import from #k9mail. #opensource so content can be exported easily if Mozilla drops the ball.
If you want to get rid of Google & Apple given the horrid behavior of those corps I can vouch for robust, barebones mail with no algorithms or scanning.
@NearerAndFarther That's because Thunderbird for Android is a rebrand of K-9 mail. They hired the K-9 dev, and now K-9 is Thunderbird for Android. K-9 didn't have an RSS reader, but I think it'd be great if Thunderbird for Android got one :D

Zuerst mit "base64 -d" den "text/html" decodiert.
Alle Zeichen, die in #k9mail nicht angezeigt werden, haben die "font-size=0em" (also null)
