Just arrived from Kansas. On highway going to potato harvest. Near Merrill, Klamath County, Oregon

The image is a black and white photograph depicting two young boys hanging out of the back of an old-fashioned covered wagon. The boys appear to be enjoying their ride, with smiles on their faces as they gaze outward.

The covered wagon has a distinctive curved top that serves both as protection from elements like sun or rain for passengers inside and also provides additional space at the rear where these children are seen resting. A wooden railing can be observed around the opening of the wagon which likely assists in preventing any falls during travel.

A California license plate is visible on the back, indicating a connection to Kansas but not necessarily their current location since it's unclear whether they're en route or have just arrived. The presence of this vehicle suggests mobility and possibly migration as part of an agricultural workforce traveling across states for seasonal work like potato harvests in Oregon.

The sky above appears clear with no visible clouds suggesting fair weather conditions during the time when the photograph was taken, which could be inferred from their attire indicating it might not have been too cold or hot. The rural setting is implied by what seems to be a fence and some dry vegetation beside them as they travel on an unpaved road.

Overall, this photo captures a moment of childhood adventure amid likely hardship common in historica [...]

The folks at Decoherence Media have unmasked 32-year-old neo-nazi Jacob Daniel Jones of Olathe, Kansas, leader of the Kansas-based Heartland Active Club and a member of Patriot Front.

For the unfamiliar, active clubs are a decentralized network of neo-nazi recruitment groups (most of them are fronts for either Patriot Front or the Hammerskins) that focus on things like mixed martial arts training and working out amid a constant barrage of antisemitism, racism, xenophobia, and misogyny.

Jones has been involved in neo-nazi/white nationalist circles since at least 2019, given that that's the year he left the now-defunct preppy nazi org Identity Evropa after Unicorn Riot released that group's internal discussion logs. So he's not exactly a kid who was accidentally caught up in this and is still "figuring things out." He's long since figured it out, and he's opted for being a nazi.

2 Native American-owned corporations cancel contracts with #ICE

Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation chairman calls reservations the 'first attempts at detention centres'

Candace Maracle · CBC News · Posted: Jan 12, 2026

Excerpt: "Last week, a second #NativeAmerican-owned corporation announced it was severing a multi-million dollar contract with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), after community pressure.

"A subsidiary of Oneida ESC Group, a corporation owned by the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, cancelled a US $3.8 million contract with ICE for engineering and inspection of federal facilities after the Oneida government became aware of and condemned the contract. The Oneida government also replaced the subsidiary's board of managers.

"#OneidaNation of #Wisconsin’s Chairman Tahassi Hill, in an email to #CBCIndigenous, wrote that every nation should have the power to determine its own vision and values.

'When issues arise that conflict with our laws, policies and core values, we must remain steadfast in acting immediately,' the statement said.

"Last month, #PrairieBand #PotawatomiNation in #Kansas announced it had cancelled a US $29.9 million contract for planning, research and concept designs for secure structures that its corporation had with ICE, and had fired senior members of the corporation's leadership.

" 'We know our Indian reservations were the government’s first attempts at detention centres. We were placed here because we were treated as prisoners of war,' said Prairie Band Tribal Chairman Joseph 'Zeke' Rupnick, in a statement on YouTube.

" 'We must ask ourselves why we would ever participate in something that mirrors the harm and trauma once done to our people.' "
