Had trouble connecting my MSI Katana to WiFi on BashCoreX live — no connection to the router at all. Turns out the kernel modules msi_wmi and wmi_bmof were interfering.
Running this command fixed it:

sudo modprobe -r msi_wmi wmi_bmof

After that, I just ran:

sudo nmtui

to configure the network, and WiFi worked perfectly!

If you have an MSI laptop and WiFi issues on Linux, this might help.

I'm sick and tired of waiting 30 minutes for a simple rsync -a of 2GB and over an hour to build a live ISO... (mi sono rotto i coglioni, in 🇮🇹)

I got a used for €700 with 32GB of RAM — it'll run Security and host the full lab for and .

Time to get serious.

🛩️ I made it! Took off at #EDPW with officially 346m of grass #runway! 🛫 I always hesitated and cancelled that visit in my former #Katana #DV20 years, but with #Sperling and its #STOL capabilities I could finally go for it! 🥳 No wind, ~680kg and 27°C. 🌤️ That feeling racing towards that crop field and passing the point of no return just for the sake of some scribbled calculations is so thrilling! I love it! I'm alive! 🤘 #AvGeek #aviation #PilotsLife #SF23 #PPL #taildragger #Spornrad #PlanePacking

Clipped airport description chart, showing a north to south runway with 346 x 40 meters. Not in screenshot: field elevation of 577 m (1.892 ft)Excerpt from actual manual of aircraft. A table telling me that 240m is the take off run for a field with 500m elevation and the aircraft loaded with 660kg overall weight. It's for standard temperature at 15°C so I have to add like 1% for every degree until 27°C actual temperature.Screenshot of Google satellite view and a measurement showing about 400m when using the strips of grass between runway and road and the field
