The photo was shot inside the Karnak temple during the light show at night. Most of the surroundings are dark with only slight hints of the temple around us. We're looking along a narrow path through the giant columns standing closely together. They get brighter the further out we look, illuminated by a strong spotlight out of frame. The last column and a stone beam glow brightly in the light. In the far back we see a single palm tree barely visible in front of the last remnants of dusk in the sky.

Still working my way through my #Egypt photos. This is one of my absolute favourite shots. It was the Light and Sound show in the #Karnak temple and we had the incredible luck to have a full moon shining down on us as an addition to the light show. It was utterly stunning and breathtaking to walk through the smartly illuminated temple. We had the last show of the evening and were only 30 people instead of three thousand. It was incredible beautiful.

Vertical colour photo. It's night and we're standing in darkness between the giant columns, looking ahead to a path between them.

The darkness gets interrupted by bright floodlights hidden behind the last two columns. They're throwing bright lights, illuminating two high columns on each side in a soft orange light and creating a criss cross shadow pattern on the ground. The light beams don't reach us. In the far back are a single obelisk and a broken wall getting hit by indirect light.

Between the obelisk in the back and the column near us the bright glowing disk of the moon hangs low in the sky like a blue whisp hovering in the temple ruins. The rest of the visible sky is pitch black.

The contrast between the orange sand stone or lime stone and the glowing moon with a wide spread very blue halo creates a fascinating visual.

It's hard to find time (and internet) to post pictures, so I will do that once we're in our beach hotel or at home 😅 but here's a little taste of what's to come. (I took over 1k photos by now and it's day four 😬)
