Sorry I have been away. I fell and broke my two wrists .. A super double bummer when #knitting not talking about the pain and the uncertain outcome.
Surgery was done on both wrists, I now have metal in 3 limbs !

🧶🧶🧶 New #FO! My 5th. Gotta say, still so fun + absolutely childlike, goofy, magnificent look that comes over the giftee's face.

Uses scrap yarn. A quick knit. Subsections (tail, belly etc) are each bite-sized - keeps it moving. Great canvas for embellishment. A conversation starter.

Ready to cast on #6!

PS: For Manny, maintenance head, purple is his fave. 😊

🧶🧶🧶 These "Emotional Support Little Chickies" I've been knitting have been a big hit. Now the facility maintenance guy wants one, as do several of the CNAs and nurses.

A blast to make. Using both scrap yarn and mini-skeins. I de-skeined all those minis into balls, so now I have a palette to choose from. Fun to make!

finally had the heart to pick back up my current knitting project, a pair of joggers

(was on pause because I couldn't bear the thought of frogging it for a 2nd time)

the good news is 3rd time is really the charm for me, by this point in a project I have a great sense of what tension I need to keep, what type of needles work best with the yarn, and am extra super duper focused on counting stitches 😅

Pattern is Ashton shawl by Dee O'Keefe.* Added another leaf motif row before doing the border. Measures a general 60 by 30 inches.

100% wool, so it will be itchy to some folks. Yarn is KnitPicks Palette Fingering held double. Unknown color because I found the yarn at a local Goodwill years ago, but it is a nice neutral brown
