Week 34: Kodak T-Max 400

"Bench"

After 3 weeks of disappointment, this was back to more successful pinhole shooting, with a roll of Kodak T-Max 400. Used to use T-Max quite a lot but the price is off-putting these days with others offering better value. The little fog in dark parts of the image are merely from under fixing the negatives, as I forgot T-Max needs longer fixing. Will refix it again later.

Recently, the news reported that the #Munich surfers suddenly and inexplicably lost their eternal wave... It was a fantastic spot in Munich, with lots of surfers and spectators all year round. Hopefully, things will be set right again for their #surf soon.

I already told you that years ago I managed to get hold of a Canon A1 for next to nothing. At the time, it was truly the jewel of my collection. Sometimes I was so careful with it that I didn’t even dare take it along on work trips, afraid I’d never find such a gem again for that kind of price.
That’s when I actually became a huge fan of the #Chinon series. I always had a CM-4, and later I carried both the CE-4 and the CE-4s in my backpack. It’s really a highly underrated brand of analog cameras with a #Pentax K-mount and excellent lenses. And compared to others of its generation, it was a real lightweight to travel with.

#analog is timeless.

Pictures from Prague 🔥
My year and me went there in September of 2024 and boyy was that an amazing class trip! If you haven’t been to Prague yet and it’s not on your list… ADD IT TO THE LIST ;)
The architecture is mindblowing, the metro/tram-system is superb and there are just so many things you can do in this amazing city.
I brought my Olympus OM2, which is now kind of retired because I switched to the fully mechanical OM1, but that doesn’t mean it’s not an amazing camera.
Also tried out Portra 160 for the first time and was immediately hooked because of the dynamic range gains compared to more affordable film stocks.
The first picture is #kodakportra160 ; the second, fifth and seventh #kodaktmax400 and the others are all #kodakproimage100 .

2024 b&ws
A mix of pictures from Berlin, Amrum (a beautiful German Island in the North Sea), Prague, Hannover and the Harz Mountains in Germany.
Also a mix of many different film stocks, including #ilfordfp4+ #kodaktmax400 #ilforddelta400 pushed two stops and one hidden gem: #kentmere400 pushed one stop.
While I shoot mostly color, because my style of shooting is more color-, than shape-orientated and I often dread not being able to capture colours if I have a roll of B&W in my camera, it is always fun because the images look so different from what I saw in person. They also carry a lot of emotion and nostalgia.
The first picture is one of my all-time favourites so far.
