De WiFi hotspot werkt overigens uitstekend, en daar maak ik best vaak gebruik van.
Ms kun je de #Librem5 van je vriend eens lenen om te testen? Dan kun je ms ook controleren of de GPS op die Librem 5 goed werkt. Ik heb de indruk dat GPS bij vroege exemplaren vaker niet zo goed werkt.
Ik ben overigens bij Simpel als provider voor mobiele telefonie.
@kkeijzer Dat klinkt alsof het familielid goed past in het profiel van #Librem5 gebruikers. Ik vind het zelf ook heel prettig dat #Posh zo lijkt op #GNOME. De look en feel komt sterk overeen. Ik gebruik zelf Fedora.
Ik hou mijn phone aan een lader als het mogelijk is. Maar suspend werkt behoorlijk goed tegenwoordig. Ik denk dat ik een werkdag wel zou doorkomen, maar ik laad voor de zekerheid altijd op als ik in de gelegenheid ben, en dat is best vaak.
Ik gebruik nu VoLTE met 3G.

Het is ook cool dat de software nog steeds onderhouden wordt. Een upgrade van het hele besturingssysteem (#PureOS) is in de maak. De huidige versie heet Byzantium, de aankomende #Crimson.

@kkeijzer de huidige mainstream telefoons. Maar je kunt behoorlijk mooie foto's maken. Zoek maar eens op #ShotOnLibrem5.
GPS op mijn eerste #Librem5 werkte niet. Ik denk dat het een hardware-probleem was. Ik heb nu een andere en die kan goed een GPS-fix vinden. Ik kan Pure Maps gebruiken voor navigatie (https://flathub.org/apps/io.github.rinigus.PureMaps).
Ik ben zelf een #Linux gebruiker, voor mij is de Librem 5 de beste phone die ik kan hebben. Ik accepteer enig ongemak voor vrijheid en volledige controle over

@kkeijzer Voor mij is de performance voldoende. Men zegt beter dan de PinePhone, maar daar heb ik geen ervaring mee.
Ik browse met Firefox op de #Librem5. Dat is niet supersnel, maar goed genoeg om iets op te zoeken als het nodig is. Ik gebruik er geen e-mail op, dus daar kan ik weinig over zeggen. Ik luister veel podcasts en radio. Dat werkt uitstekend met GNOME Podcasts en GNOME ShortWave. Foto's maken, en vooral versturen met social media, is omslachtig vergeleken met 1/n

I have been using a #Librem5 as my daily phone for three years now. I like it because the #freedom for the user: #FOSS.
@kkeijzer @Liberux if I remember right most of the #pinephone and #librem5 modem issues after getting it initially working was issues with the interface connection not working correctly when sleeping so the modem would not come back or would drop out when idling. Hopefully someone else can comment with more information.
Besides #PinePhone and #Librem5, are there any other smartphones with @mobian or @postmarketOS that fully implement Calls, WiFi, Mobile Data, Audio, GPS, Battery?
Mostly using #Phosh on a #LibreM5 running #Mobian #trixie lately but also a #PinePhone running #Mobian #bookworm (with a trixie era kernel).
About 95% or more using the #Dino #XMPP client.
Mostly with WiFi but occasionally cellular data. Never with cellular voice calls or text.
Had tried Chats ages ago but the #OMEMO support was unreliable and there was no offline support at all. Lack off offline support was a total deal breaker for me.

@phosh I'm currently using #Phosh 0.45.0 via #postmarketOS v24.12 on a #Librem5. I'm hoping to switch to #Mobian when trixie is released (if an installer image with LUKS is available).
Thank you for maintaining #Phosh! I've been using it for the last couple of years; it's improving so fast, and it was already great to begin with :)
