Patch Notes for Update 44.1 on Wednesday are out.

This includes Anniversary Event tweaks, cosmetic item fixes and loads of updates to instances.

I'll be checking out the Anniversary tweaks, obviously!

The last time I ran the High Elf thing for screenshots I created Asquirrel, so I repeated it this time for my own amusement.

It's an Elven name pronounced "as:-kwi-rell", honest. 😏

Running the High Elf introduction for the first time in a LONG time.

Sauron, the one who invaded, dictates the terms of "peace", without any agreement not to come back and claim more lives, resources or territory.

It is NOT peace to stop an invasion where the terms are dictated by the invader, no matter how tempting a quick ceasefire can seem.

Standing in front of a Forge im King's Gondor with a large hammer out. I have to pretend I have a custom crafting tool for RPing as we don't have those in LOTRO yet.

My character speaking to the local blacksmith. "Mind if I borrow your Forge? Sure, I'm here on behalf of the King, but I maintain my own gear."

My black and white war-steed galloping through the craggy landscape, while my character has her spear drawn ready.

Yes those are antlers on my war-steed. Well, they're not meant to look natural, as they are clearly attached to a head-band.

But I'm not pretending he's a deer anyway. He uses those as a weapon to defend himself.

Hey folks, just a quick "hi" because I've been in shedtons of my #fibromyalgia pain today, so getting through has been difficult.

But this week is also a week for crafting a new #LOTRO post - which, no, isn't about crafting.

I had a good, long LOTRO session yesterday as rest time, which I did split with some crafting. There are no custom metalsmith tool appearances yet, but some hammers make great role-playing ones.

As the #LOTRO Anniversary is often about looking back, here's my main character on her first trip to the Trollshaws on 4th January 2018 vs her trip today on the 9th May 2025.

Standing on a hill over the autumnal forest of the Trollshaws, N'wyn, later referred to as Glinmaethor, smiles at peace with nature, knowing she is en route to Rivendell.

With a more mature face, N'wyn Glinmaethor has survived the war of the Ring...somehow. But she is happy with her affinity with the Elves, no matter what men may think. She has been through much, and her more serious expression hides her snarky sense of humour. For now.

I've managed to do some writing/editing but now I'm in so much pain (it's been getting worse through the day).

I played a bit of the #LOTRO Anniversary with NJ earlier, so I'm kinda going to, except I'm on a Remembrance hunting quest rather than trying to get tokens.

Hopefully, a slow quest like this will help me wind down before sleep.

I nearly went for the Mirkwood weapon aura (below) but the Light one obscured the blade better.

I need more swords without T-crosses in #LOTRO, apparently. The best ones I have in my wardrobe have curved blades, which doesn't work well when a Lightsaber is a straight blade, even if the hilt is curved. Or should be, at least.

Some of the Reminiscing dragon character pieces look better than their unflagging counterparts. Though I'm still not sure about dressing up a horse as a dragon.

Riding a horse in LOTRO...a horse that has a metal-and-cloth outfit that makes it look like a dragon.

This is why being over-levelled without being attacked should be allowed in games. You can go back, and the enemies know not to mess with you this time!
