El comunicado oficial habló de suicidio, pero sus incursiones en el mundo de las drogas y supuestamente en la prostitución dejaron un halo de sospechas sobre el cuerpo de #LarryWilliams que yacía inanimado el 7 de enero de 1980 en su casa de Hollywood Hills en Los Ángeles con una bala en su cabeza. Su nombre, un tanto olvidado y esencial, tuvo sus principales éxitos como sucesor de Little Richard a finales de los años 50´. Una clara señal de su influencia son los covers suyos realizados por bandas de la denominada invasión británica de mediados de los 60´ como los Beatles, Rolling Stones, Animals y los Who.
