Just... So disappointing. I'll be able to get my money back, buyer protection and such. But I wanted this movie on LaserDisc SO badly. It was at a bonkers cheap price...

And heck, it was sealed. But I know some folks say when it'/s sealed, the added pressure over time makes it easier for the disk to warp (the packaging was even a tiny bit warped from it too). And now... I opened it up and the disk was horribly cracked.

I know folks love sealed old media, but maybe poke a tiny hole in there so the air can get out folks... So sad I'll never get to watch this one...

I remembered! So from what I could research, these lil lithographs were only available for folks who bought Hunchback of Notre Dame in Disney Stores when it came out back in 1996. Only available for a few days too!

I'm not sure if special lithographs are a thing for Disney releases these days but I know some of my special LaserDisc box sets have them too. I guess that was just a thing people liked back then?

Anyways, it was neat to just randomly run into this in the wild at a thrift shop. Gotta figure out a clever way to display it.

@felsqualle @fuchsiii that's because around 2010s they cheaped out with organic binder (same shit as #LaserDisc used) and decided that's good enough.

• Consider imaging your stuff and/or using #MDISC recordables...

Fell in love with #theywere11 when I stumble across a copy on #laserdisc, I took a chance & pick it up. It’s a super fun “who done it” plot; looking forward to reading the #manga. Also got my copy of the #castlevaniadominuscollection. That will be fun to revisit.
