New sewing projects!
After nearly 2 months no #sewing I found some time recently to make couple of small projects (I'm in my learning phase)
This time i decided to make an elastic #bandana and a small coin pouch.

Easter monday, weather was not good, so i decided to practice with sewing. This time i made a zippered coin pouch.
Using fabric from an old t-shirt. Any suggestion/advice on how to improve?

Another weekend project, this time a #sewing one. It is a small pouch for my girlfriend. Since it it my second sewing machine project, lot of things are imperfect, and even an untrained eye can find lot of problems. But it was a complex project for me, so i'm happy with the result. Recently i decided to put to a use a sewing machine i bought couple of years ago, and i had no idea how to use it! I made a small pouch as experiment it was my first sewing project. I've been learning how to make these fabric basket things. I've made about 3 or 4 of them and I think this is the best one in terms of seam matching and stitches. I'm really happy with it. This one is a gift for my sister as she loves #puffins !
I bought some PVC fabric. Basically that stuff used for tablecloths. I thought I'd try to make a wipeable washbag to get used to #sewing different fabrics. Do I need a special needle for my machine?

I haven't done any #sewing since before Christmas. My #LearnToSew class hasn't started up again (yet) so I'm feeling abit uninspired ☹ I bought a couple of scraps of fabric at the weekend so I'll try and make something with them.
My skills limit me to pouches, bags etc.
Just finished making these box pouches. I'm fairly confident with them now so I think it's time to move on and learn something else. I'm particularly pleased with the stripey one as it's made from an old napkin and I managed to get it symmetrical! 😇

Before last night's power cut, I just managed to finish the zippered make up pouch. This was the one cut from the pattern. Altogether it was very tricky to assemble and the edging/binding was the final part. I struggled! Unpicked several times, stuck pins in my fingers and got spots of blood on the piece. But I got there in the end 😂

Tonight at #LearnToSew class I nearly finished my bag/pouch from a pattern. I just need to sew the bias binding on and then it's done. My tutor helped ALOT but at least I understand the pattern terminology a little better.

#LearnToSew with a pattern. It's just a simple zip bag but the pattern makes it seem so much harder. I hope I got the 'fold' right (I assume that meant fold the fabric under to cut 2 pieces?!). I'll cut out the pieces now to take to my #sewing class and get some help with reading the pattern.

I finished my first boxed pouch with no raw seams inside. It was a little tricky but very satisfying once finished! It's going to be a Christmas present for a friend so I hope she likes it. Photos to follow but in the meantime here is the #YouTube video I followed
