A fun day out at #LeedsCastle (Kent) today. A chilly day in the fog, but the birds of prey demonstration was impressive.

A lead downpipe, it's grey colour in stark contrast to the warm stone building to which it is attached.

For #ThrowbackThursday here's a photo from the very first digital camera we ever owned - a Fujifilm Finepix 2200 - and a visit to Leeds Castle to try it out in 2003. Great maze at the castle as I recall.

We've still got the camera but no ability to charge it right now. If I ever pick up a suitable device for that then I'll have to play around with the camera again just for the sake of nostalgia.

It's an overcast day and we're on a tarmac road or path beside a curving moat around a plot of land on which there is a stately home with turrets and crenellations along its light grey stone walls. A long wall curves to follow the path of the flat moat and some creepers and bushes are dotted here and there along its length. A thin tree with plenty of leaves is on our side of the water to the left adding a foreground point of interest. In the background, mostly to the right beyond the moat we can see green fields and trees.

@medieval_illuminations I was looking for images of medieval #bathing facilities recently, as the accounts of the #LadyOfClare tell us she installed a "stew", which I imagine as a bathroom with hot tub similar to the re-creation at #LeedsCastle. I saw several similar tubs, but no others shared with a dragon!
