Rebecca Stone has a new take on freedom of contract. I can't summarize it in a Tweet, but I can try in a blog post, and I do so here:

Concluding the exploratory phase of the #LegalTheory #KnowledgeGraph project, I have also published a list of tools and resources which I collected in that phase. It is outdated because it does not reflect the #LLM-revolution in #NLP, but maybe you'll find something that you do not already know: github.com/cboulanger/ltkg-too

Please meet the physical copy of my article on "norm-knitting" and the master-piece of my Grandma that inspired this article. She found it an interesting challenge to combine so many different kinds of wool in an asymmetrical pattern.

“Help by making the sick patient sicker” -Gentili (1612) on foreign intervention, making Early Modern Europe sound pretty shitty indeed

#InternationalLaw #LegalTheory

Excerpt from Rolfe’s translation Alberico Gentili’s 1612 edition of De iure belli. While discussing foreign military intervention, Gentili notes, “We may follow the wise practice of the physicians, who hold that if there is some slow fever which has seized upon the body and which does not yield to any remedy, the disease must be changed, and sometimes even increased and made more severe, because the cure which is not admitted by the present disease may be admitted by the one that is produced.”
