BEERICANO
1¼ oz sweet vermouth
1¼ oz Campari
4-5 oz pilsner beer
Garnish: lemon peel (not pictured)
Method: Build in a frozen glass over a large rock, adding beer last. Foam some beer by whipping it and float on top. Keep everything ice cold before building!
I saw this on IG thirstywhale_ channel who called it Beericano, but it was originally called an AMERICANO PERFECTO by Damon Boelte while working at Prime Meats in Brooklyn, NY. I think Justin's addition of foamed beer was a nice touch.
Instead of a pilsner I used Les Intenables Crispy Chill, a hoppy lager. It's light as a feather, but has a bit more bitter to it than a run of the mill pils and is certainly less sweet. Les Intenables is one of my favorite local-ish breweries. If you live near the Rhein you should definitely check them out.
