I come from the land of oyster roasts as the winter outdoor hangout.
A fire, a slab of wood over some sawhorses, cooking #oysters in a turkey fryer (really steaming them with water) until they ust open, then gathering around while they get dumped on the table and you get your knife and glove and talk about football or whatever while you pry.
(Sometimes you find a tiny orange crab in the oyster and then you need to find the old head who will eat it)
