Massively enjoyed the @Level1Techs DGX Spark GB10 review, in particular because of the showcase of how you actually use the Spark software platform; youtube.com/watch?v=Lqd2EuJwOuw

@ghul DOOD! 🖖🤩👍

You've convinced me a few days/weeks, ago - we're even following each other. 😉 I have yet to try #GHULbench, though.

I'm sure, you've established a connection to Steve from #GamersNexus, or the #Level1Techs, and lots of others. 😉

Perhaps you can get them to talk about #AMD #FSR #REDSTONE on #Linux - that might be fun! 🤩👍

As far as i know, i/we don't get a fancy GUI, to configure stuff - i'm glad #Valve does the #Steam & #Proton thing! 😅

I’ve been trying to clean up my desk cabling. I have an #LG 5k Ultrawide going to a #Level1Techs #DisplayPort 1.4 KVM which in turn plugs into a Mac mini and a #CalDigit TS4 dock for a MacBook Pro. TS4 sits on top of the KVM, so it only needs a very short cable. IN THEORY!

I’ve tried 3 brands of 6 1.5ft DP 2.1 cables and none of them work. Some will not provide any video despite the laptop seeing the monitor connected. Some give a few seconds of video before either blanking or giving static.

Today, i've been a very good boy, who made the internet a better place. :3 :blobpats:

Some genius put the whole #Linode object storage domain on a #SPAM #Mail #DNS filter list (#PiHole) - FIVE MONTHS AGO! 😱

That list is maintained by #SemperVideo (German TechTuber), who still hasn't found their way to the Fediverse, just like Linode, as well as #Level1Techs. 🤨

I'm discussing it in the L1 forum 👀👉 forum.level1techs.com/t/level1

What a time to be alive! Relatively painless #SRIOV with the latest opt-in kernel 6.17 for #Proxmox! There's slight wonkiness here and there with the #intel drivers (on the Windows side), but from what I can see in the #level1techs video and thread, they are working diligently. Right now it's just #homelab shenanigans, but this will be useful for the last 2 Windows use cases I have once it's a little smoother.

@wyatt granted, it's the problem of the "low informarion density" and 'need to not loose "lesser-#TechLiterate|s" in the conversation'

#LTT nowadays is exclusively clickbaity "Entertainment" as the most competent person AFAICT ( @emilyyoung ) left them.

  • Espechally since LTT nowadays does more and more extreme "#HardwarePorn" that is completely decoupled from the needs, demands and capabilities of their target demographics.

Or did they actually make some #LowBudget content that is reproduceable (unlike #ScrapyardWars) ???

ICYMI: #GamersNexus, in a video with #Level1Techs 's Wendell, has 'announced', ~3 days ago, that they will or intend to include #Linux in their #gaming/hardware performance benchmarks (in some capacity, at least) in the future. As it is, the distro they plan to be targeting seems to be #Bazzite.

Motivation behind this being Steve/GN's concern with
#Microsoft 's continuous enshittification of #Windows, such as the bullshit, spyware feature they've been pushing lately - Windows Recall. GN's hoping that benchmark coverage of Linux would help offer some 'value' and insight in terms of performance for those considering making the move, in addition to existing Linux users.

Any 'professional', 'outside' perspective, coverage of Linux will always be a positive thing, honestly. Apparently GN themselves have uncovered some (serious?) flaws in terms of benchmarking a Linux system using something like
#MangoHUD in the past, so, it'd be nice if they commit to benchmarking Linux going forward and maybe we'd get to see meaningful improvements to these tools and utilities that Windows users often take for granted. Maybe even see them shame 'industry players' like #NVIDIA too for any shortcomings of their drivers on Linux.

I bring this up, as & started the conversation of transitioning out of the ecosystem, due to and wanted a baseline OS for not only Testing purposes, but for an audience that is primarily users that are connected to that ecosystem in one form or another. Is either or ready for prime time? What is your of choice? Respond below.
