Oh, das schicke #LibreTube funktioniert inzwischen mit einem rein lokalen Modus ähnlich wie #NewPipe. Sehr cool, dass die App so wieder brauchbar ist und auch ohne leider ständig geblockte #Piped-Instanzen funktioniert. :yayblob:

Es ist soviel besser, als YouTube.

@hjes Ich habe das für #LibreTube auch gemacht - fiel mir dann später ein, als ich die Mail im Postfach fand. Allerdings kriege ich LibreTube nicht zum Laufen - sprich: Die Videos starten nicht 🤷♀️ Da fehlt mir dann doch ein Quäntchen IT-Knowhow...

Ich habe mir dieses Jahr einige Vorsätze genommen. Einer davon: Jeden Monat wird an 3 #foss Projekte gespendet, die ich regelmässig nuzte.
Die Idee habe ich von jemand anderem, der diese Idee hier auf Mastodon gepostet hat.
Diesen Monat: #fuiz , Open-Source Kahoot Alternative, #bottles , natives Gnome Programm, um Windows Programme zum laufen zu bringen und #libretube , ein material-you Android YouTube-Client.

I don't know what changed but for about 2 weeks i can't play #youtube vidz anymore.
I first notice it on my Android device (from their website, #NewPipe or #Libretube).
Then from my computer.
Same message "Sign in to confirm that you're not a bot"
I tried split tunneling, changing the dns, browser with or without #Mullvad extension...still not working.
Any idea ?
Today, for the first time, #YouTube said I couldn't watch a video unless I logged in. In my browser! That always used to work.
I think we're in trouble. #NewPipe, #LibreTube, #Invidious, #ViMusic - none of these can help anymore. Maybe yt-dlp, but that's not always practical, especially for hour-long videos. And even it gets broken every now and then.
I used YouTube mostly for listening to music. I don't see any replacement for that. If we made a PeerTube instance and started uploading music like folks do on YouTube, we'd get in legal trouble in no time.

WHAT TO DO?
Sad to see that @libretube is not planning on expanding their support to #PeerTube and maybe other good plattforms (if there are any). I think I then continue to patiently waiting for the full #NewPipe Rewrite then and using it and it's Forks like #Tubular.
