This version introduces an improved syncing algorithm that greatly reduces the load of the extension on the browser and adds a setting to choose the Bookmark folder where the Linkding bookmarks should go (for example the Bookmarks Toolbar)

When I find an interesting link, it is now saved to #Linkding, and depending how it’s tagged #n8n pushes it somewhere else. Like #Outline as a blog idea or #Readeck to read later.

The really neat thing?

Everything is happening on a server at home.

The old adage that ”there is no cloud, it is just someone else’s computer” is being questioned thanks to #TrueNAS and #selfhosting.

Having adventures in self-hosting again after finding the rather excellent #Linkding (https://linkding.link) bookmarks tool (think Pinboard). Installed via #Podman on a VPS that costs me €4 per month.

#linkding is another #opensource option, which seems the best fit for me: simple yet nice UI, it does what I need and even a bit more.

I'd need to self-host, why not, I'm not against it.

The browser addon has a feature I always wanted for #InMyPocket: search the items from the address bar. It can't list all your items though 😅 but again, I could adapt #InMyPocket to support this project.

It seems like a good option for me, but I'd also need to build something to sync to my #ereader.

Ich habe es endlich geschafft, auf eine Alternative zu #Pocket zu migrieren: #linkding (https://github.com/sissbruecker/linkding). Bis zum 8.10. habt ihr noch Zeit, eure Daten zu exportieren.
