Am I the only one who actually doesn’t mind Windows?

Sure, there are some features I don’t agree with—but I just disable what I don’t need.

Edge: uninstalled
Copilot: disabled
Cortana: disabled (yeah, I know they killed it)
Gadgets bar: I actually use it
Game bar: I use it too
Any AI stuff: completely ignored

Honestly, I like the visual style of Windows 11. It looks clean, and it just works well with my hardware and the software I use.

That said, I also use Linux on almost everything except my main PC, which I keep on Windows for gaming and VR.

Here’s my devices:

Server laptop: Debian 12
Coding laptop 1: Debian 13
Coding laptop 2: Arch Linux
Main PC: Windows 11
Discord bot VM: Ubuntu Noble
Phone (via Termux): Not sure, but I assume it’s based on some Debian branch

Oh, and I’ve got an NVIDIA 5070 Ti OC 3x—Linux drivers still don’t play nice with NVIDIA cards, unfortunately.

Recebi uma notificação do Waydroid avisando sobre uma atualização do sistema. Legal! Coloquei para baixar e instalar. Aparentemente, deve ser uma atualização de correções de bugs. Acho que uma nova versão do Android ainda deve demorar para chegar. O Waydroid está na versão 11 do Android.

Instalei o Waydroid no Fedora direto do repositório. Bem mais simples que no Debian/Ubuntu. É só adicionar os OTAs e baixar a imagem do Android. Muitos jogos não são compatíveis, mas baixei o Asphalt Legends Unite. Vamos ver se roda!

Removi o Linux Mint do SSD de 256 GB e agora estou instalando o Fedora 42 no meu laptop principal. Nele, pretendo instalar o Waydroid e espero gravar alguns vídeos mostrando jogos de Android rodando no Fedora. Em breve, também farei um vídeo ensinando como instalar o Fedora.

@syntaxseed Fillable forms are supported by Firefox. I don't normally recommend any browser-based app, but in this case, it has provided the functionality required. Saving a blank version first, making a copy for each application, helps with the save-then-re-edit issue. #linuxuser

@ErikRJ that's really cool. I started w/ #LinuxMint 😅 and it was all about getting my feet wet and being able to do stuff by myself (customization, security, terminal usage, #coding and #apps related stuff) while using modern, all ready stuff.

Idk how many #linuxdistro videos I watched on #youtube 'til I understood what I was looking for; then once ready to fully deep-dive and having a new laptop I installed #Debian and life is good 👌

As a #LinuxUser I feel obligated to now find out if old iPads can be made to run Linux.

People say Linux can replace Windows but they don't tell you about everything that comes with being a Linux user. 😮‍💨

Edit: Looks like at least some older #iPad/s will run #Linux.

So now I'm trained up to say,
"Install Linux on your old iPad and keep watching Netflix and chillin'".

Though it might actually be beyond many folks' skill level. Any low-skill-level folk tried this?
