Finally watching the second season of #littleamerica on #appletvplus. Dammit I love this show. It’s just so human.

#AppleTVPlus has some great multilingual series—#Liaison, #Tehran, #LittleAmerica, #Pachinko, to name but a few—but daft audio and subtitling options.

To watch these in their original languages with subtitles you need to choose the language it was produced in (French, Israeli, Korean) *even though they include dialogue in multiple languages*, and choose English rather than automatic subtitles, in which case even the English parts are subtitled. 🤦‍♂️

Much better to have an ‘original audio’ option and let the app decide if you need subtitles based on your international settings. And if, like most of the world, you speak multiple languages, forget it. It’s so obvious that the current system was designed by monolingual speakers who prefer dubbed audio, which is the worst way of watching international content IMHO. #noxp

Just finished season 2 of #LittleAmerica - such a great show - the level of storytelling is amazing, introducing a person and within 30 minutes telling their life’s story - plus I really love the set design, very detailed, never cliche but you can clearly tell the period and lots of great apple product cameos matching the time

Just watching some more #LittleAmerica tonight (Columbus Starlings LLC) and I’m so glad this show exists. It’s just so wholesome and inspiring. For all the Last Of Us’s (which is great) we need shows like this. New perspectives on the world are so important. Do give it a watch on TV+ if you haven’t yet.

I love where #LittleAmerica went with season 2 on #AppleTV.

As an immigrant's kid I am absolutely a sucker for immigrant struggle stories - I can't get enough of them. My dad is textbook American Dream material.

And I also love how this season doesn't sugar coat the pains of immigrant life in the US *specifically* and the tradeoffs that have to be made.

Really powerful stories told in this season and I hope more people watch this show.
