Bonus Photo of the Day 2 19th February 2026.

Mike Sumner, lead singer and guitarist of Ji, a fantastic band from Liverpool, at a gig at The Masque, Liverpool, 28th August 2003.
This was the Beach Party, with Atonal and Junk Culture on the bill - a cracking line-up if ever there was one.
I think this was after my weird decision to buy a digital camcorder to use as a stills camera - yeah, I'm still puzzled by that one…

One of the fun things about being the photographer for the band is being able to get backstage for photos like this.

Mike Prosser, bass player with Liverpudlian Alt-Metallers The Idiot Rate, onstage at Academy 3, Manchester, 25th June 2006.
I knew the bands singer from a previous band, so when I heard his new outfit was hitting my home town, I thought I would pop along.
I found myself standing in the crowd watching the opening bands, and had to do a double take - the guy standing next to me was Ben!
It took him a second, but next thing I knew, I was backstage (something I had always wanted to do here!), and told to help myself to anything on the rider!
Great band, fantastic people, and excellent memories.
