A man with a dark buzz cut hairdo, holding an orange microphone to his mouth with his left hand as he sings.
He is wearing a white t-shirt, with a large yellow square filling the chest, with the red text "Every man a rebel" at the top, and the head of a man with long, black dreadlocks at the bottom.
He is also wearing a blue pair of jeans.
Part of a microphone stand and the head of a guitar is visible on the left of the frame, while a man can be seen leaning in to the side of the stage in the background on the right.
Black walls fill the rest of the frame.

On This Day 15th November 2025.

Alison MacInnes, singer with London-based band Fifth Amendment, deciding to abandon her musical career and become a cave explorer, heading off to explore the insides of the suspended ceiling while the rest of the band kept playing, at The Roadhouse, Manchester, 15th November 2000.

A woman with short red hair, wearing a black top that rises up over her midriff and white trousers, climbing into the gap caused by a large missing tile in the white ceiling, her legs supported by the hands of people in the crowd below her.
A big grin is plastered over her face, and she seems to be enjoying herself.

#NowPlaying a throwback to the late 90s/early 2000s. Add N to (X) were a very strange, synthy, blippy electronic band that were only together for a few years at the middle/end of the 90s, and barely into the 2000s (they broke up in 2003). They made some catchy, weird songs.

Add N to (X) did a few LPs, this is my favorite, 'Insult to Injury', from 2000: youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK

Track 7 of that especially, 'Plug Me In', which is what got me hooked on them. The video for 'Plug Me In' has adult video actresses playing with toys, and isn't on YouTube. So I put it here (to download, it's too big to stream) because censorship is bullshit: drive.proton.me/urls/NF445YTQP

#NowPlaying some wakeup music -- this new aggro/hardcore punk EP from last month, 'Pantomime of Power' by London's NUCLEAR FEAR. You can listen to this whole thing in just six minutes. There's rough, loud, growling guitars, raw bass, and almost death metal-esque vocals. Lots to dig here.

On This Day 6th July 2001.

So, you’ve just come back from a week of stalking a band around the country, and you’re at a bit of a loss for what to do, with nothing planned for the night.

Then one of the guys you work with says he has a spare ticket for a gig in Bradford, and his brother is driving…

Phluid at Rio, Bradford, 6th July 2001.

On This Day 2 6th July 2001.

Chris Dale, slap bassist extraordinaire and vocalist with the band SackTrick, on stage and barefoot at The Rio, Bradford, 6th July 2001.

3 people on stage, performing as part of a rock band. On the left is a man with shaggy, ear-length brown hair, wearing a blue and grey shirt, and playing an orange bass guitar. In the middle is a man with short dark hair, wearing a black shirt and dark trousers, playing a black electric guitar. On the right is a man with short dark hair, sitting behind (and playing) a black drum kit at the back of the stage. The wall at the back is black, with large black text "www,bradfordrio.com" outlined in white, with a smaller, white sign below with the black word "Trick". There are different coloured lights aimed at each person on stage - the bassist is highlighted in blue, an acid green glow surrounds the guitarist while a bloom of orange light surrounds the drummer.A man with long brown hair cascading over his shoulders facing to the right, wearing a furry, black and white animal-print hat, black and white striped long-sleeved t-shirt and blue denim dungarees, playing a bass guitar that he is holding vertically, while snarling and raising his right foot off the ground, his knee raised high in front of him. A red light is shining on his hair, with another red light in the top right corner creating a bloom of light around his microphone. Black walls fill the rest of the background.
