Last photo from the 2024 backlog. I got to Orient Point and walked as far as I could. It's the tip of the north fork of Long Island. Long Island is really long, so this is further east than New Haven and closer to New London, so there's a ferry from Orient Point to New London. This is the Orient Point Lighthouse. Long Island has two tips and that day I visited the northern one, Orient Point, about 10 miles further from Greenport. I first took the ferry to visit Shelter Island. Then I biked to Orient Point and Orient Beach State Park, though the beach itself was closed and I only got to the campground.
