It's #JukeboxFridayNight and the theme is #LoveAndKindness ?
My pick, "Make You Feel My Love" — here sung by Adele, who popularized it (tho covered by countelss others) — requires a bit of commentary:
Casual fans of the song may not know that it was written by Bob Dylan. It is, imo, uncharacteristic of his writing style — but, of course, he thrives on defying predictability.
Also, while this is truly a touching love song, a careful listen evokes the question, "Who was he declaring his love to?" The lyrics have distinct biblical overtones, which *was* predictable from Dylan when he wrote the song in 1997..
"I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue,
I'd go crawling down the avenue;
No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do,
To make you feel my love.
The storms are raging on the rolling sea,
And on the highway of regret;
The winds of change are blowing wild and free,
You ain't seen nothing like me yet."
