Congratulations!

Had he come here, there is a nonzero chance that United States thugs, immune from prosecution in federal courts, protected by the White House and the corrupt SCOTUS it chose for itself, would have tackled him for being non-Aryan, tried to break his fingers, and housed him in unsanitary conditions in a concentration camp, forcing him to go without medical treatment in a crowded cell with a single toilet, which may be plugged. No water. No soap. If he hadn't a lawyer on the outside who was alerted to his plight, he would stay there until the thugs decided which foreign nation they'd ship him off to, to be their torture dummy. They would take his phone. He would not be allowed a phone call. He would be housed in the "non-white" section. He might die there, in misery, because America has made itself identical to the gangster state of Russia in every way that matters.

That is grim reality here, in America, a dictatorship of the wealthy, by the wealthy, and for the wealthy, where everyone else is made into their enemy by them, to abuse as untouchable government thugs see fit. Especially "minorities." Gleefully, "minorities."

@michaelcoyote Read Charles C. Mann's book “1493“ for some inspiration. While it is not specifically about Mexico, it contains a lot of information about it. (Parts of the story could also take place in Manila, which way another crazy place in the 1600s.)

Manila, Philippines
🌦️ Hot and humid in Manila today. Highs are reaching 29°C, but there’s a 60% chance of rain. Expect scattered thunderstorms throughout the afternoon which could cause some localized flooding in low-lying areas. Keep your rain gear ready and stay cool! Humidity is the big story here—take frequent water breaks. 🇵🇭

Following the end of , demobilization and repatriation was slow. Discontent grew, leading to a by 4000 troops in December, and on in 1946 the broke out, in which 20,000 marched in against officer perks & to demand troop ships.

On 6 January 1946, 20,000 enlisted US service members marched in Manila, to demonstrate about the slow progress of demobilisation, in an event known as the Mutiny.

After the end of World War II, US troops overseas, and their families at home, were keen for demobilisation (return home) to occur as swiftly as possible. As Christmas 1945 approached, discontent increased as many troops were still stationed overseas. stories.workingclasshistory.co
