Minneapolis, MN – Protesters rallied on Saturday, July 26 in south Minneapolis to protest the creation of the “Alligator Alcatraz” immigrant detention facility. The protest, called by the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC), was part of the Legalization 4 All’s National Week of Action: 10 Days of Resistance.

Aug 2, 1944: On this date, Office of Strategic Services’ Operation Halyard begins with a 3 person mission team parachuting into Pranjani, Serbia. The members of the Halyard mission were: George Musulin, #MN native Michael Rajacich (from Chisholm), & radio operator Arthur Jibilian (the last surviving member of the mission, but died of leukemia in 2010). It was the largest rescue of American flyers in history: 432 US & 80 Allied personnel airlifted.
