Today was the Rochester #MakerFaire at #RIT!

My two favorite exhibits were the Lego Donkey Kong set, and the plush

A Lego set featuring the first level of the original Donkey Kong arcade game. It has the classic red beams, Pauline, Jump Man, and DK!

@dj3ei @darc why not, 80% of the venue in FH is usually empty during the #Hamradio. I guess having a second fair in parallel can help reduce cost for the exhibitors. Maybe Astro is not directly related to hamradio, but I know a lot of amateurs who are also interested in this area (and other STEM areas as well). Personally I would highly welcome even more parallel fairs in FH at the same time. Especially something like a #MakerFaire would enrich #hamradio2026 a lot.

Hand drawn generative/procedural art in ink on an open page of my sketchbook. The abstract pattern looks a bit like a honeycomb with little fish in each cell. Yeah, it's hard to describe.

Just got home from the Maker Faire, and I'm completely exhausted and happy. No other event is quite like it.
