For any iOS devs out there who are new, looking for a project to get into, gain some experience, make a mark on something… whatever, the main dev at Provenance is looking for help and assistance. Real life job/opportunity just taking time away from the project. It’s an iOS/ipados/tvos retro emulator but has been supported for over a decade & is quite advanced with a lot of in the works features. It has paid options/subscriptions so funding is a possibility. 'Ve been on vacation around girona, cat, spain. I've seen 3 times "Arm Champ II" from #Jaleco, #1992. I think it is highly restaured . The screen is Led. Yet the only pixel area arcade around. The last mid 80 arcade games i've seen in a venue was 2006. Since i have my head in #MAME 's code, i know all sega from 1985 had a fake 68000 with basically a time bomb inside. Also this game is very same hardware and engine as #ScudHammer also, not the only 1992 game with #SaddamHussein inside !!

I'm thinking that #streaming will be the only way to interact with anyone interested in 6800 code disassembly for a #pinball machine. I'm having trouble self-motivating and having some folks looking over my shoulder and chatting about pinball would maybe help keep me focused.

Is there anyone who'd be interested in such a stream? It would probably be around 7PM Eastern on a week night.

Thank goodness for #docker it makes setting up software build environments almost effortless.

I'm getting spun up to build a simple simulator for Time Machine #pinball for PinMAME which will allow shooting shots with the keyboard by simulating the appropriate switch hits. The alternative is playing the switch matrix manually like a piano which isn't ideal.

This should allow me to get into the nitty-gritty of the code with PinMAME's debugger.

I kind of wanted to submit some arcade high scores to Twin Galaxies. Then I noticed that they require you to clear the game's NVRam every time you make an attempt.

I like having all of my high scores saved on my arcade cabinet. So, scratch that.

Mame106Minimix is a port of the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator to AmigaOS 3, which requires a very fast 68k computer - the author primarily has PiStorm cards in mind. Version 1.4 fixes bugs and contains optimisations and improvements to the user interface.

*sigh* things rarely work out the way they should in my head, couldn't find the bit patterns I worked out that should correspond to the representations of digits on the seven-segment displays. I think I'm going to pivot again to implementing a simulator for time machine in PinMAME so I can shoot shots with the keyboard and see what happens in the debugger
