Screenshot of the Eugene’s Lair, the fifth level of the infamous Manic Miner. We see our hero Willy standing on the top platform, being chased by some mobile toilets.

The eponymous Eugene is in the middle, he’s essentially a head with arms and legs and glasses and a sardonic smile. He’s white.

When you collect all the collectibles in the game, he starts changing colour and he quickly drops down the screen to block your only exit.

This level required not only pixel perfect platforming, but meticulous timing to make sure you got everything when he was far away from the exit.

It’s a nightmare honestly and I get the heebie jeebies just typing this.
