Make UK (representing manufacturers) and the TUC are arguing that theUK needs a proper industrial strategy... and interestingly Make UK are clearly distinguishing themselves from the (troubled) CBI by doing this (arguing that they see the value & contribution of unions).

But wishing for an industrial strategy & engineering a successful one are not the same thing; UK success at industrial strategy is patchy at best; lets hope it works this time
